The drinks menu includes Tasmanian wines from Nandroya, Pooley, Pipers Brook, to name a few, and from France and, Tasmania spirits including the award winning gin from Spirit of Bruny.
The food menu has a nice selection of wood fired, 48-hour ferment sourdough pizzas and platters featuring delicious local pickles, goats curd, Bruny Island smoked trout and chicken, pickled octopus, smoke wallaby, honey soy chicken, pepperoni, garden vegetables, Soy Yoy Yoy tofu brie, flat breads, and potato crips depending on your platter selection. All the platters are delicious.
The food, drink selection and The Izzy Bar ambience was so good, I returned with friends two days after my first visit. The second visit was as good as the first.
My friends enjoyed the Blue Cheese and Margherita pizzas, and their verdict was they were the best pizzas they have had.
The menu may not be extensive; however, the options are perfect with your beverage selection.
Jen and her staff are excellent. They are friendly and their service is first rate.
The Izzy Bar is located at 3349 Bruny Island Main Road, South Bruny, which is about a kilometre past the Adventure Bay turnoff. The establishment overlooks pastural land out to Isthmus Bay and is a peaceful, relaxing place to sit back and enjoy a break from the hustle and bustle.
